Students of LR B.Ed College, Solan, organized “Rukhsat,” a heartfelt farewell party for the second-year students. The event was graced by chief guest Kalpana Parmar, an international hockey player and runner. Special guests included Ved Arya and Kishan Lal, Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption of India. The program commenced with Saraswati Vandana, setting a reverent tone for the celebration.
The students showcased their diverse talents through various activities, including singing, dancing, personality development, and sports. Their performances were outstanding, making the event memorable. The titles of Mr. and Miss Farewell were awarded to Nilaksh and Devyani Behal, while Saloni and Chetan were named Mr. and Miss Talent. Ayush and Bharti were recognized as Mr. and Miss Entertainer, and Sachin and Simran received the titles of Mr. Handsome and Miss Beautiful. The selection criteria included a catwalk, talent showcases, and question-and-answer sessions, judged by teachers Vaishali, Neha, and Samiksha.
Principal Dr. Nisha praised the students for their sincere efforts and urged them to strive to be excellent, multi talented teachers. She wished them the best for their future endeavors. The event concluded with an inspiring speech by Kalpana Parmar, who encouraged students to identify and hone their talents. She shared valuable insights to boost their confidence and emphasized the importance of discipline, loyalty, and honesty in their professional lives.
The farewell ceremony was also attended by LR Admin Head Gaurav Sharma, L.R Polytechnic Principal Kanchan Bala Jaswal, and all the teachers and non-teaching staff of the B.Ed department. Their presence added to the significance of the event, marking a memorable and inspiring farewell for the departing students.
