About The Course

Electronics and Communication Engineering is the latest branch of engineering in this modern age of technology. This branch of science consists of two fields –first one is electronics, which deals with all the digital and logic circuits which will lead to production of computers and second one is communication engineering which deals with all types of communication like Telephone, Television, Mobile, Satellite etc.

The foremost objective of the department is to hone technical skills demanded by today's engineering professionals by providing a sound technical platform and required knowledge base. It prepares them to meet the challenges faced by today's professionals by exposing them to a wide array of cutting-edge technologies. We provide premier professional education with an eye on the latest developments in the technology. Since its inception our students have been well placed in either deemed academic institutions or top industrial establishments in Punjab.

  • Student Projects

    Students have to take up industry sponsored or self financed projects during the seventh semester, which gives them the opportunity to exhibit their skills acquired during their studies. This ensures a correct blend of theory and practice of Mechanical Engineering. In the previous years students have presented projects in the field of Robotics, Mechatronics, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Control, Material handling, alternate energy sources, automobile engineering, test rigs for experimentation etc. which were widely appreciated by eminent engineering industrial personnel.

    They can also take up projects in industries for productivity improvement, energy conservation, automation, jigs and fixture design and manufacturing, and cost reduction.

  • Placements

    The department supports and coordinates with the Centralized Training & Placement Cell of CT group for all placement related activities viz. interview preparation, inviting the companies for the placement drives and conduct of the same.

    For all the aforesaid purposes, students are actively involved. The students have been identified as student coordinators who are working together in order to meet these objectives. Besides, these activities also inculcates managerial & leadership qualities in the students. The student coordinators are well guided and supported by two faculty members of the department who have been identified as industrial coordinators.
